Hi LonelyPierot, I'm an American photographer called Modias. I am not entirely comfortable offering much of a critique for two reasons: 1- I have yet to post even a cursory shred of work on this site, and 2- while I appreciate a well composed portrait and occasionally shoot them myself, my primary focus is on atmospheric and architectural photography. That said, I find this to be a nice composition. Your model seems to feel comfortable and, for the most part, looks natural. I really like the lighting, with the exception of the bottom 1/3, where the shot seems to grow a bit dim. Were you shooting in natural or artificial light? Your shadowing is spot-on, just enough... Although I do not have the benefit of seeing this portrait in original B&W, the sepia toning is a nice touch, and very well done. I imagine it adds in a dimension which the original B&W lacked. I look forward to seeing your other work and, if you have any interest in architecture or conditional atmospheric photos, I hope you will check out my shots as well (if I ever get around to posting them)!
